The Ancient Way

Return to the ancient roots of the early church by embracing the Jewishness of Jesus. Sabbath, the biblical feasts and the richness of God's Torah, made accessible.

What is The Ancient Way? theancientway.org

Ten years ago I left a dream job at a megachurch. Not long after, I hit rock bottom.

"I don't even know if I believe this God stuff anymore." The words came out through the lump in my throat.

That could have been the end of the story. It wasn't.

From deconstruction to deeper roots

While a lot of people around me were deconstructing, God started to reconstruct my faith. He led me back to a Jewish Messiah, who lived the Torah and all of God's ways to the fullest.

I found a God who keeps His covenants, even when everyone else breaks them. A God who is faithful and can be trusted. A God who established a way of life, long ago, that points to Him at every step.

We found life there. We brought our kids along. Then our friends and family.

What The Ancient Way is

In 2024 I launched The Ancient Way to help people rediscover the Jewishness of Jesus and practice a lifestyle rooted in the way He lived. It's meant to be a bridge from the Christian community into Messianic Jewish community.

Through teaching, storytelling and community, we explore the Sabbath, the rhythm of the biblical calendar and the depth of God's covenants with Israel. The podcast and the newsletter are where that happens week to week.

Stand in the roads and look. Ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it. Then you will find rest for your souls.

Jeremiah 6:16

Have you ever wrestled with your faith? Watched friends walk away, or wondered if you might? You're not the first, and you don't have to sort it out alone.

Start with one Sabbath. The free Sabbath guide on The Ancient Way will walk you through it.

Have an idea you can't get out of your head?

I love helping people turn ideas into something real. If you feel stuck, or you know where you want to go and not how to get there, I'd love a chance to come alongside and help you get there.
