Using Scrum For A Greater Mission At NewSpring Church

Recently, I had the chance to sit down with Dave Prior of the LeadingAgile SoundNotes podcast to chat about how we use Scrum at NewSpring Church to innovate and deliver value to all types of "customers."

Myself, along with a few people on my team at NewSpring Church travelled to Georgia to attend a LeadingAgile CSM (Certified Scrum Master) Training class to improve our skills and become more familiar with the agile methodology we use every day. Through the process, we were able to learn new ways of using process to help streamline our development efforts.

This episode of LeadingAgile’s SoundNotes offers a case study of how the technology teams at NewSpring church have been using Agile practices to develop innovative products that will enable their members to stay engaged with NewSpring throughout the whole week.

In this podcast, we talk about how we introduced Scrum to the Web team at NewSpring Church, how it is being adopted by our technology teams, how it helped us deliver more value, improve transparency and communication, as well as some challenges we faced along the journey.
